A project for inmates who wish to let go of guilt and shame and create a new narrative about themselves.
What is the project?
No Blame is a narrative transformation program for inmates in Danish prisons. It is a program that helps process guilt and shame and develop a new life story through reflection, dialogue, and symbolic action.
Why self-forgiveness?
Guilt and shame can trap people in destructive patterns. This project provides inmates with the opportunity to:
✅ Reflect on their past without letting it define their future.
✅ Work on self-forgiveness through concrete methods.
✅ Develop a new identity built on hope and responsibility.
How does the program work?
🔹 Phase 1: Understand your own history – Who have you been, and how has that shaped you?
🔹 Phase 2: The process of forgiveness – How do you let go of guilt and shame?
🔹 Phase 3: Create a new narrative – Who do you want to be in the future?
Who can participate?
The project is aimed at inmates in Danish prisons who wish to work on their personal development and self-forgiveness. It requires no prior experience, only an openness to change.
What do participants gain from it?
📌 An understanding of their own life story.
📌 Concrete tools for working with guilt and shame.
📌 An opportunity to step into a new identity with responsibility and self-respect.
Collaborators
The project is carried out in collaboration with the Danish Prison and Probation Service, social actors, and professionals in resocialization.
